Website Features - Using Gmail & Google

Solutions for Email, Calendars, Photo Galleries and Blogs

Gmail is a FREE and super effective tool for everyone. Victory Design Studio will show you just a few features we recommend that you take advantage of as you build your internet presence and productivity.

Gmail

Gmail will allow you to have unlimited email addresses built into one account. You can receive and send emails with any of the addresses you use therefore your email recipients will never know you are using one system to manage all your emails.

Gmail also allows you to fully access all of your emails from any computer with an Internet connection. No longer will you have to be at your home or office computer to access ALL of your emails.

Gmail also allows you to sync all your Contacts, Calendar and Email with your SmartPhone (Blackberry, Palm, iPhone, etc) using Google Sync.

Google Calendar

Google Calendar allows you to create multiple calendars and have them appear on one main calendar. For example you may have one calendar for church meetings, youth meetings, children's meetings, music etc.

You may now display this calendar(s) on your website. The instant you add or edit an event in your Google Calendar it will be live on your website.

Your Calendar may be displayed as a regular calendar or in agenda mode by simply clicking on the option you want in the upper right of the calendar.

Click on any of the events in a Google Calendar and you will get a pop-up of all the details.

Picasa Web Albums

Looking for a simple way to get photos from your camera and computer on the web? Picasa Web Album provides one GB of free storage that makes sharing your photos a snap.

Blogger

You may also use your Gmail account to set up your own Blog. This blog can be linked to your website and can be an important part of your online presence if used and maintained.

A blog is a personal diary. A daily pulpit. A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Your own private thoughts. Memos to the world. Your blog is whatever you want it to be.

There are millions of them, in all shapes and sizes, and there are no real rules. In simple terms, a blog is a website where you write stuff on an ongoing basis. New stuff shows up at the top so your visitors can read what's new. They may choose to comment on it, link to it, email you... or not.
